2025 Winter 5K registration is open!
Race Information:
The Basics: Since 2011, The Master’s University Winter 5K has been a favorite among local runners thanks to the welcoming atmosphere, scenic course, and community partnerships. This year we have some exciting new features that we are thrilled to announce. In 2025, we have added two new races - a Kids 1K, and a more competitive 5K race – the 5K Challenge. The 5K Challenge will be limited to participants whose goal is to complete the race in around 35 minutes. Our traditional 5K Run/Walk will take place immediately following the 5K Challenge.
This year's course will start on TMU’s north campus, winds through Placerita Canyon and Quigley Canyon Open Space, and will finish at the starting point on north campus. The Master's University Winter 5K boasts a scenic and entirely flat course with varying terrain, perfect for participants of all ages and abilities. Come experience what local runners have called their “favorite way to start off the new year!”

Start Times: Kids K: 8:30 a.m.; 5K Challenge: 9 a.m.; 5K Run/Walk: 9:45 a.m.

Packet Pick Up:
Kids K: 7 - 8 a.m.; 5K Challenge: 7 - 8:30 a.m.; 5K Run/Walk: 7 - 9 a.m. At pickup, each participant will receive:
- Race Number
- Timing Chip
- T-Shirt (requested size subject to availability ... not guaranteed for late registrants after Dec. 25)
Race Numbers and Timing Chips:
Race bibs and chips are non-transferable on race day. Contact race director before Jan. 16 to have your bib transferred if you are not able to participate on race day.
Your race number must be pinned to the front of your shirt; safety pins will be provided. Timing chips must be attached to your shoe. Please note, timing chips will be collected before you exit the finish corral.
Parking:
Arrive early to find parking. Free parking is available in any of TMU's lots. Click here for a campus map.
Strollers:
For your safety, strollers are not permitted on the course.
Photography & Social Media:
A professional photographer will be taking photos of as many participants as possible, but cameras are welcome on the course! Share your images on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter using #TMUwinter5K.

Course Description
The Master’s University Winter 5K starts at TMU's North Campus, runs north on Quigley Canyon Road, turns right on Cleardale, then left onto the Quigley Canyon Open Space trail. The trail loop is run counter--clockwise; after the trail loop, runners retrace their steps back to North Campus. The final 800 meters are run around the block surrounding the athletic field and The MacArthur Center and finishes at North Campus.
